I'm Dr. Jeff Perron, a Clinical Psychologist at The Ottawa Institute for CBT.
I work with clients to figure out what is causing stress or “stuckness” in their lives, and then help them live a life based on what they truly care about.
In recent years I’ve become interested in not just what helps get people unstuck, but also what helps them thrive and flourish. There’s a growing body of Positive Psychology research that actually teaches us what makes people live happier and more meaningful lives. It’s important for me to share these findings with my clients and readers.
Through this Substack, I share the insights and strategies I discuss with my clients in a more accessible and widely-available format. Each post is written with my clients in mind so that it encapsulates core concepts we discuss in session.
Although my primary focus is on mental health and personal growth, I also delve into related topics such as business, time management, and work-life harmony.
My hope is that these posts will be a useful outlet for those who are looking to learn more about the inner workings of the human mind from a Psychologist who appreciates the value of an evidence-based perspective.
